Federal judge dismisses U.S. lawsuit challenging New York City sanctuary laws

A U.S. District Judge in the Eastern District of New York granted New York City's motion to dismiss the Justice Department's lawsuit seeking to preempt city laws that limit cooperation with federal immigration enforcement (United States v.
