When we get something wrong, we fix it and say so. Every report page includes a dated correction history.

How to request a correction

Use the in-app “Report a correction” form on any report page (sign-in required). A public editor email address has not been configured yet. Include the report link, what's wrong, and a source supporting the correction. Please don't include personal information about detained individuals.

What we do

• Factual errors: corrected in place, with a dated note in the correction history.
• Tier changes: if a source is retracted or found not independent, we downgrade the tier and note it.
• Unsupported reports: unpublished, with the reason noted if the page was widely shared.
